Ok, so when is, "next time"? Are you guys still working at this? I can't imagin what it must be like. I guess, the one thing I can think of to encourage you is that if you do quit, little one will be less likely to start some day and you don't want him to have to go through what you all are having to go through. Maybe you could reward yourselves by figuring out how much you will save by not smoking and reward yourselves with the savings by buying or doing something special.
I have almost resigned myself to being a smoker for the rest of my life...(I know not good) But I started talking to Little One about not smoking about 1 or 2 years ago and I have told him how hard it is to stop and about the nasty addiction. I also told him that he should not let others pressure him into trying to smoke by telling him he is not cool enough and so on. I am always very open about how I hate doing it and how my will power is not strong at this time to quit. Hopefully with my reinforcement along the way he will be a stonger person and able to say no to the peers along the way.
